Guild loot rules
The Loot Council
the purpose of a loot system is to ensure that loot is distributed fairly, in a way that benefits the raid as a whole, while ensuring that everyone feels rewarded for their contribution to the team. during progression content, we will be using a loot council system to allow for flexible raid membership and optimal distribution of loot.
The Primary Goal
the number one priority for new content will be to get every player upgraded to the new tier of gear as fast as possible. gear will be awarded based on size of upgrade, player skill and dedication, attendance, and attitude. therefore, if you have already received an item for a particular slot, you will most likely be passed up for that slot until your competition has also received comparable pieces. if the council feels that a piece of loot is equally deserved by more than one player, those players will roll off for the loot via /random in chat.
Disputes
the loot council system depends on the trust of the raiders in their council to make appropriate decisions in distributing loot. therefore, there will be no tolerance for favoritism, collusion, bribery, or any other kind of "gaming" the loot system. if you feel that the distribution of a particular piece of loot was mishandled, or want to gripe about the system in general, please bring it up with the GMs after the raid. any complaints about loot during the raid will be ignored, as we only have three hours per night and we need to make the most of it.
